Ginee Wadhawan - It all started with just my love for these angels , and when i came across people who had no confidence on there girls i decided someone has to take a step and educate them empower them. The world is very different in big cities and smaller we have to work very hard on them.

EFox Question - What do you hope to accomplish as a social worker?

Ginee Wadhawan - I do not dream about big things. All I want to do is helping people who were not lucky in life, not as lucky as I have been. I want to do this on a daily basis, and I chose social work to follow this goal.I want to help in the development of young personalities. Young children are faced with such adversities now. I want to help children find the right direction and pursue life in positive ways , that's where the social work takes the lead as the government of any country cannot reach of each and every corner.

EFox Question - Why it is important to save and educate girls? What are your opinions?

Ginee Wadhawan - Discrimination against girls in society has been going on since ages now. Even today, there are several sections where the girl child is treated as a burden. Helping women carve a positive self-image and increase their confidence level. Enabling them to develop the ability to think critically. Ensuring that they have equal participation in decision making, whether it’s in the family or at the community level.Providing economic independence to women. The role of education is extremely important here and goes a long way in empowering women. And the process of education has to begin early in life. The mindset that a girl is a liability needs to be changed and this requires happening at the grass root level.

EFox Question - To effectively parent your daughters, what are some excellent parenting tips that can help along the way?

Ginee Wadhawan - Parenting can be easy , if we understand it well by remembering some basic things Don't clip your child's wings.Don't try to fix everything for them , let them fight their battles.Remember that discipline is not punishment.Make them believe in themselves, encourage them at regular intervals.Don't make assumptions about her strengths and weaknesses. Let her follow her dreams , a duty as a parent is to show them the pro's n con's but let her decide and walk on it. BE WITH HER ALWAYS.

EFox Question - What were the biggest challenges that you faced in your 17 years career and how did you overcome it?

Ginee Wadhawan -  I am thankful to my last job which gave me hoards of experience .I had my share of challenges while working , being a women lot of times I was not given a fair chance to prove myself , I was allowed to countries/work which could be finished soon , so I could be back in due course. Just because you are a woman and managing your house does not give anyone a chance to judge you i strongly feel , but i am happy in these 17 year I proved lot of them wrong , I managed all my sectors of life beautiful and I am so proud of it today One must understand that a working woman loves your concern but not your sympathy. She wishes to be recognized with her talent and not her gender.
